Electronic Communications Disclosure

This Electronic Communications Disclosure (“eCommunications Disclosure”) covers all of your accounts, products, services, loan applications, and scholarships with Ascent Funding, LLC (“Ascent”), whether accessed through a personal computer or mobile device. This includes, but is not limited to, the following account, product, and service types: private education loans, consumer loans, mobile application features, scholarships, and others (the “Services”). The words “I”, “you”, and “your” mean each account holder, loan borrower, scholarship applicant, product owner and/or service user identified on an account, product, service, or application. Certain Services and related application and approval processes may only be completed electronically. In order to access such services, you must consent to the electronic delivery of disclosures and be able to access such disclosures in accordance with the following consent. Please read the disclosure below and select ‘Yes, I Accept’ if you agree to the electronic delivery of disclosures. If you do not agree to the electronic delivery of disclosures, you will not be able to complete and submit this loan application.

Consent to electronic delivery of consumer disclosures

From time to time, Ascent Funding, LLC, and each of its respective agents, assigns, and third-party partners (collectively, “we”) may be required by law to provide to you certain written notices and disclosures. Described below are the terms and conditions for providing to you such applications, notices, disclosures, the loan agreement and other electronic communications through your online account, email, or other electronic delivery methods. Please read the information below carefully and thoroughly, and if you can access this information electronically to your satisfaction and agree to the terms and conditions, please confirm your agreement by clicking the ‘Yes, I Accept’ button below. If you do not consent to electronic applications, notices, disclosures, the loan agreement and other electronic communications, you will not be able to access the Services.

Withdrawing your consent

You may withdraw your consent to the electronic delivery of disclosures by (1) calling Ascent Customer Service toll-free at 877-216-0876 or (2) sending your withdrawal via email to [email protected]. If you withdraw consent, you will receive all subsequent required notices and disclosures in paper form for no charge.

Getting paper copies

At any time and without charge, you may print a paper copy of a disclosure or other document provided to you by accessing it via your online account. You may also request a paper copy of any disclosure provided or made available electronically to you by calling Ascent Customer Service toll-free at 877-216-0876 or email us at [email protected]. There is no charge for a paper copy of any disclosure.

Please note that a request for a paper version of any disclosure or document will not by itself constitute a withdrawal of consent to receive disclosures and other communications from us electronically.

Contacting us

You may contact us to let us know of changes as to how we may contact you electronically, to request paper copies of certain information from us, and to withdraw your prior consent to receive notices and disclosures electronically as outlined above. Call Ascent Customer Service toll-free at 877-216-0876 or email us at [email protected].

Advising us of your new email address

To let us know of a change in your email address, you must send an email message to us at [email protected] and, in the body of such request, you must state your previous email address and your new email address. We do not require any other information from you to change your email address. In addition, you may call us toll-free at 877-216-0876 to provide your new email address.

Required hardware and software

To electronically receive and view and electronically save or print the disclosures, you must meet the following hardware and software requirements.

If these requirements change, we will provide you with an email message at the email address we have on file for you at that time providing you with the revised hardware and software requirements, at which time you will have the right to withdraw your consent to the electronic delivery of disclosures.

All notices and disclosures will be provided to you electronically

If you consent to the electronic delivery of disclosures, we will provide electronically to you all required notices, disclosures, authorizations, acknowledgments, and other documents that are required to be provided or made available to you during the course of our relationship with you as well as other, non-required communications.

Acknowledging your access and consent to receive materials electronically

To confirm to us that you can access this information electronically, which will be similar to other electronic notices and disclosures that we will provide to you, please verify by clicking the ‘Yes’ button below that you were able to read this electronic consent and that you were also able to print on paper or electronically save this consent for your future reference and access or that you were able to email this consent to an address where you will be able to print on paper or save it for your future reference and access.
