Who is Ascent?

What is the $1,500 Back to School scholarship?

We’re giving away $1,500 to one lucky winner – no essay or entry fees! To apply, follow the steps above and submit the scholarship application. For more information, please see the Official Rules.

How do you select winners?

One potential winner will be randomly selected after each scholarship giveaway is closed at the end of each month. Winners are subject to eligibility verification by Ascent, whose decisions are final and binding and notified by email. If you cannot be contacted using the information provided in the entry or fail to respond within three business days, you may be disqualified and forfeit your prize. Ascent will select another potential winner at random. For more information, please see the Official Rules under the scholarship application on each of our scholarship pages.

What are the eligibility requirements?

Ascent’s scholarship giveaways are open only to: (i) students who are legal residents of one of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia, age 14 or older, and who are enrolled in a high school, degree program, or technical skills training program, at least half-time or (ii) parents who currently have a child enrolled as a student meeting the qualifications of 2(i) (each, an “Entrant”). Sweepstakes Period:
TThe Back-to-School Scholarship Giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”) begins on August 20^th, 2026, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends at 8:59 AM PT on October 31^st, 2026 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).

Entry Method:
Entries must be submitted via: https://www.ascentfunding.com/scholarships/back-to-school (the “Entry Form”).

Prize:
One (1) winner will receive a $1,500 prize (the “Prize”), with an approximate retail value (ARV) of $1,500.

Drawing Date:
On or about October 31^st (the “Drawing Date”).

The Sweepstakes is subject to the Official Rules below (“Official Rules”). By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
