Ascent borrowers get access to career-readiness training and real-world work experience through exclusive, paid, remote project opportunities - no experience required.

AscentUP is a professional training platform that helps learners build academic, financial, and career readiness skills. Through interactive training resources, expert coaching, and work-based learning opportunities, AscentUP supports learners as they pursue their education, launch their careers, or transition into new opportunities.

AscentUP is available to:

  • Ascent borrowers with funded loans since May 1, 2019
  • Students at partner schools with licensed access
  • Employees at partner businesses with licensed access
  • All participants in the AscentUP Bridge Program, regardless of funding or loan type

No. AscentUP is offered at no cost to eligible Ascent borrowers, as well as students and employees whose school or employer provides licensed access. When your access comes through a partner school or employer, they cover the cost of the program on your behalf.

Access to the AscentUP platform is valued at $250 on the open market, but Ascent provides it free of charge to support their borrowers' educational and career success. After your one‑year access period ends, your membership simply expires unless you’re eligible for extended access through your school, employer, or loan status.

AscentUP coaching empowers people to grow academically and professionally by building effective habits, guiding them to resources, and developing the skills they need to turn their goals into reality.

Our AscentUP coaches can assist you in making a unique plan to do well in school, including teaching time management tips, sharing budgeting strategies, and more. Your AscentUP coach can also help you prepare for your career with resume advice, how to choose a career that’s best for you, and offer additional tips for jump-starting your career.

AscentUP users have access to blogs, courses, webinars, videos, quizzes, guides, one-on-one and group coaching, and more to help you plan your pathway to success during school and as you start your career.

Ascent applicants and borrowers that agree to the AscentUP Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, as well as students associated with an Ascent parent loan application, have access to the AscentUP platform. Only Ascent borrowers are eligible to apply for the Bridge Program. Eligibility criteria and programs terms are subject to change.
